Sharyn Wortman is a London-based Australian artist whose work emerges from prolonged encounters with unstable landscapes and disappearing environments.
Working across drawing, clay, installation and material research, she investigates how memory is held within matter and how the body registers ecological transformation.
Her works function as traces, records and residues of experience rather than representations of place.
Part research expedition, part phenomenological inquiry, her practice sits between contemporary drawing, environmental thought and material poetics.
